Question for massage therapists?

I have been a certified massage therapist for 15 years,and just recently added seated massage to my business.Ideally I would like to do corporate massages in the workplace.Someone told me to set my chair up at a roadrace.I have given out numerous free massages to friends and family,and frankly,I am ready to start charging.It seems to me that setting up at a roadrace is not the best idea.Runners are sweaty,and it seems unlikely that they would carry money.Has anyone done this,and what was your experience.Even if you have not done it,what is your advice to me?Thanks.

I did volunteer work at the Utah summer games. Yes a lot of them were sweaty, we did chair massage and even though it was complimentary in general people tip, and hardly any one gave us tips that day. So I doubt they carry money. What our teacher of chair massage suggested for us is to use the chair massage to get your name out by setting up at free fairs and things. Or you could pay and set up at some kind of fair. Then do ten minutes for ten dollars or etc. Or she said that many companies will hire a massage therapist to do chair massage all day, and then they can offer it to their employees for free, even though you still get paid. This is some kind of new trend and more and more companies are doing it now a days. I hope that helps you, and good luck with your chair massage!
